Frequently Asked Questions
What booster packs contain the Japanese Gyarados ex Art Rare card?
This special illustration single card can only be pulled from official Japanese Scarlet ex booster packs. It is listed as an Art Rare checklist number 014 out of 078, meaning it occupies the premium secret card print slot at the very back of the pack.
How does Gyarados ex Tyranny Tyrant attack function in competitive matches?
The Tyranny Tyrant move deals a massive 360 base damage for five energy attachments, making it capable of knocking out any Pokémon ex in a single hit. The attack introduces a mechanical trade-off by forcing you to discard 2 attached energy cards, requiring smart board management to chain consecutive attacks.
Why is the SV1S Scarlet ex version of Gyarados ex highly collected?
Unlike standard regular prints, this version features an incredibly detailed full-bleed canvas texture painted by the famous artist AKIRA EGAWA. Collectors aggressively hunt this specific Japanese card stock variant due to its superior surface texture, clean gloss printing quality, and low pull-rate difficulty.
Does the PSA protective slab preserve the textured surface of this card?
Yes, the professional authentication process seals the card completely inside a heavy-duty, sonic-welded plastic shell. This hard case keeps the pristine textured artwork and fragile holofoil borders permanently shielded from handling wear, edge chipping, air moisture, and surface scratch damage.
