Pokémon – Gladion’s Final Battle – Pitch Black ME05 – 077/084 – Base Uncommon – Near Mint is a Trainer card from the 2026 Mega Evolution Era Pitch Black expansion. This cinematic event‑style card captures Gladion at the climax of his corrupted‑energy confrontation, framed in neon‑lit shadows and ME05’s signature distortion glow. As an Uncommon Trainer card, it anchors the late‑set narrative section of the ME05 binder layout. Its crisp outlines, dramatic lighting and high print clarity make it one of the standout non‑foil story cards in the expansion.
In tournament play, Gladion’s Final Battle serves as a momentum‑shifting support card. Its effect allows players to stabilize their board state, recover key resources or reposition their strategy during mid‑game pressure. Decks built around Darkness, Psychic or corrupted‑energy synergy often use this card to regain tempo or set up decisive turns. While not a direct damage tool, its value comes from enabling controlled aggression, smoothing draw sequences and supporting transitions into late‑game finishers. Competitive players appreciate its reliability and its ability to turn stalled board states into actionable plays.
The artwork for Gladion’s Final Battle 077/084 was illustrated by ME05 staff artist H. Kurobane, who leaned heavily into the expansion’s corrupted‑energy theme. Gladion is shown mid‑stride, surrounded by neon shadow arcs and fractured light patterns that symbolize the ME05 aura’s influence. Kurobane used sharp contrast, glowing edge highlights and a fractured battlefield backdrop to emphasize the intensity of the moment. This stylistic direction reinforces Pitch Black’s narrative: even major characters are forced to confront the spreading corrupted aura that threatens the region.
