Pokémon – Pikipek – Pitch Black ME05 – 066/084 – Base Common – Near Mint is a Colorless‑type non‑foil base card from the 2026 Mega Evolution Era Pitch Black expansion. Pikipek’s rapid‑peck stance, neon‑white highlight glow and corrupted‑energy shading give it a sharper, more aggressive look than its usual bright, cheerful depictions. The ME05 aesthetic pushes its lightweight design into a high‑contrast, distortion‑tinged style with warped motion lines and crisp outlines. As a late‑set Colorless common, Pikipek helps round out the ME05 binder layout with clean print clarity and saturated shading.
In tournament play, Pikipek acts as a low‑cost early‑game attacker for Colorless decks. Its attacks typically apply chip damage, pressure evolving Pokémon or help maintain tempo while players set up mid‑range threats. Pikipek’s retreat cost and attack sequencing make it a dependable opener for decks that evolve into Trumbeak or Toucannon. While not a heavy hitter, Pikipek’s role is to stabilize early board states, create incremental pressure and support transitions into stronger Colorless attackers.
The artwork for Pikipek 066/084 was illustrated by ME05 staff artist H. Kurobane, who leaned into the corrupted‑energy narrative by emphasizing neon edge distortion and warped feather highlights. The forest‑trail backdrop is tinted with white‑violet fracture lines to reflect the spreading ME05 aura. Kurobane used glowing rim accents, streaked motion effects and subtle environmental warping to reinforce Pikipek’s rapid‑strike presence. This stylistic direction fits perfectly with Pitch Black’s theme of Pokémon becoming altered by corrupted energy.
