- Objectives
-
- This is an alternative selling site for cards that is non-exclusive, has fair fees and fair business practices for vendors.
- The site for sellers is primarily for Canadian vendors of cards and collectibles, acting on a fair sale process with limited site conditions and for a limited fee level. The listings are valid for 180 days and extendable.
- It is a non-corporate process with reasonable resolution, that follows the policies and procedures to limit gamesmanship, counterfeits, fraud or unethical practices.
- That you as the seller are not an insurance company nor a unlimited warrantee provider.
-
- Basis
-
- This is a limited platform seeking sufficient buyers and sellers to provide a margin to sellers to continue to supply the demand for cards and collectibles.
- The limited fee to you program (see current fees in Fees Policy) is to enable lower margin products to be sold for value. The fee calculation avoids inclusion of shipping costs and taxes as a part of the fee. The fees are not multiple levels and fair for the program.
- It is a non-exclusive market to enable sale of products by other channels.
- The terms that are plain language.
- Resolution of challenges is by email outline followed by phone resolution first.
- The market is not all things to all parties, but a development market to enable ongoing market growth with limited fees.
- The exclusion of con artists, entitled self interested gaming buyers and others is a joint process requiring all challenges to be communicated to Turnagain on a timely basis.
-
- Limitations
-
- The initial market will require time to develop, the goal is longer term.
- The format is near Co-operative, that is to compete in acquiring buyers and sellers, the sellers must assist in the marketing by social media exposure of the site with their contacts such as simple referrals to the site that go a long way in market development.
- The timeliness of shipping is to meet the Canadian standards. These are less speedy than comparable US delivery, this reality is not a failure as no seller is the delivery agent.
- The cost of payment processing is partially supported by the fee for simplicity.
- The approach on delivery is simplified, which means for some sales there is a cost to the seller above the recovery and on few deliveries there may be recoveries above cost, this is a competitive aspect of the sales process and not an attempt to jam sellers.
- Buyers are responsible for the selection of shipping, tracking and insurance and hence must adhere to the terms related to their choice and not an overreaching policy.
-
